PH's Centeno advances to Women’s 9-ball pool final
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines is a step closer to obtaining another gold in the 28th Southeast Asian Games.
Chezka Centeno defeated Siraphat Chitchomnart, 7-5, in one of the two women’s 9-ball pool singles semis matches at the OCBC Arena Hall on Monday, June 8.
Centeno was down by two, 5-3, by the 8th rack before winning 4 straight racks to claim victory over her Thai opponent.
She now awaits the winner between Myanmar’s Aye Mi Aung and the Philippines’ Rubilen Amit to see whom she faces in the finals. If Amit wins her semifinal contest later, the Philippines will be assured of winning another gold medal.
