Sixteen out of the 19 Filipinos who have qualified in the Tokyo Olympics have already seen action as of Sunday, August 1, with three winning medals and 10 ending their Games stints.
Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz netted the Philippines' first Olympic gold, while boxers Nesthy Petecio and Eumir Marcial have secured the country at least a silver and a bronze, respectively, as they remain in contention for a gold.
Other Filipinos whose Olympic campaigns are still ongoing include gymnast Carlos Yulo, boxer Carlo Paalam, and pole vaulter EJ Obiena.
Skateboarder Margielyn Didal, judoka Kiyomi Watanabe, boxer Irish Magno, weightlifter Elreen Ando, taekwondo jin Kurt Barbosa, golfer Juvic Pagunsan, swimmers Remedy Rule and Luke Gebbie, rower Cris Nievarez, and shooter Jayson Valdez have concluded their Tokyo run.
