The Philippine wushu bet proves she's one of Asia's best practitioners

JAKARTA, Indonesia (UPDATED) – After winning a gold and a silver in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Agatha Wong finally solidified her place as one of Asia’s best.

I feel also relieved kasi tapos na ako (I’m done), and my hard work has paid off,” said Wong.

Wong racked up a total of 19.36 points to bring home the country’s third bronze medal. She placed behind silver medalist Juanita Mok Uen Ying from Hong Kong (19.42) and gold medalist Lindswell of Indonesia (19.50).

For me, I just had no expectations. I just wanted to do my best and I think I did my best, so I think that’s worth it na din,” added Wong.

I just always keep a very positive mindset and that has taken me places already ever since SEA Games and World Championships.”
