WATCH: PH Olympian Eric Cray speeds to 3rd place finish in hurdles heat
MANILA, Philippines - Filipino-American trackster Eric Cray figured he'd need to match or get close to his personal best time of 48.98s to advance to the men's 400m hurdles semifinals. He got pretty close, finishing just .07 slower at 49.05 for third place in his heat on Monday, August 15 to qualify for the next round.
Cray, 27, who was born to a Filipina mother and an American serviceman in Olongapo but raised in the US state of Texas, has won two gold medals for the Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games.
