DUMAGUETE City, Philippines — Even before the gymnastics competitions are over, NCR head coaches were already looking forward to the ASEAN Schools Games in Hanoi, Vietnam this June.

After coveting 30 medals in artistic gymnastics, coach Limwel Cabrasawan believes NCR should have a good showing in the international stage.

“I am very happy with our [Palaro] success. We trained very hard and I think we have an advantage,” Cabrasawan said.

NCR gymnasts are preparing for another competition in May: the Philippine National Games. They are vying for national team slots in gymnastics in the said competition.

“We are happy that we defended the crown. We would also like to congratulate the other squads. I could see the improvement and this is a good thing for Philippine gymnastics,” said national team and NCR head coach Jasmin Ortega. “We have to continue training for the PNG and ASEAN Games.” – Rappler.com
