In the tightly contested match, Tagle cruised to a 3-1 lead after two sets, before the top ranked Choirunisa equalized at 4 points apiece.

The Indonesian champ breezed through the final set to take the win, 6-4, as well as the gold medal in the recurve archery event.

Tagle, a product of Palarong Pambansa from Dumaguete City, earlier defeated Myanmar’s Thida New, 6-2, to reach the gold medal match late Sunday afternoon.
