PH cops 4x400m relay bronze in 2017 SEA Games
MANILA, Philippines－ The Philippine athletics team added another medal to its haul in the 29th Southeast Asian Games as the men’s 4x400 meter relay representatives captured the bronze on Saturday, August 26 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in KL Sports City, Malaysia.
The Philippine team, which was composed of Edgardo Alejan Jr, Michael Del Prado, Archand Christian Bagsit, and decathlon gold medalist Aries Toledo, clocked in 3:08.42 and held off Malaysia to grab the bronze.
Thailand meanwhile successfully defended the crown as their contingents registered 3:07.25, while Vietnam took the silver with a time of 3:07.40.
PH had won the silver in the same event back in the 2015 Singapore Games.
This is the 3rd bronze for the Philippine relay teams, with both the men’s and women’s 4x100m representatives also finishing at the podium on Friday. －Rappler.com
