MANILA, Philippines – University of Santo Tomas (UST) swept the UAAP Season 81 general championship in both the seniors and juniors division once again.
This is the España-based school's third straight general championship title as it topped the country's premier collegiate league with 282 points.
Sisi Rondina also led the Golden Tigresses to a silver-medal finish in women's volleyball, which further solidified UST's hold of the top spot.
La Salle finished 2nd place for the third straight year with 260 points while Ateneo wound up tied with University of the Philippines with 237 points, but edged out the Maroon side for the bronze with 7 titles.
Host school National University came in 5th with 197 points as it bagged 7 championships in the 21 sports it joined.
Far Eastern University improved to 6th with a lone championship in men's chess.
University of East dropped to 7th while Adamson University remained at 8th place. – Rappler.com
