MANILA, Philippines – Thanks to a well-balanced attack from their main guys, the Mapua Cardinals snapped their two-game losing streak and took easily took down the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals, 101-72, on Friday, July 24, at the San Juan Arena.

Josan Nimes had 18 points to lead the Cardinals, who outscored the Generals 30-19 in the second quarter to establish a 45-33 lead at the half that only increased moving forward in the game. 

Stephen Que, who recorded 11 of his 17 markers in the first two quarters, finished with 17 for the game while Justin Serrano pitched in 16 points. 

Mapua, who shot 51% from the floor and nailed 13 shots from downtown, also received 12 points each from Exeqiel Biteng and CJ Isit.

EAC dropped to 0-5 this season with their recent loss, where they were led by the 16 points of Hamadou Laminou and 15 markers of Francis Munsayac. 

The Generals will be back in action when they take on San Sebastian next Friday, July 31, while Mapua will aim to improve to 3-3 when they face Lyceum on the same day.
