Andy Jao appointed NCAA Commissioner for Season 92
MANILA, Philippines – San Beda college has appointed Andy Jao as the commissioner for the upcoming NCAA Season 92 basketball tournament, it was announced Wednesday, May 4.
Jao, who also works as a broadcast analyst for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), will oversee the basketball tourney that commences on June 25 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
"Yes, he's the NCAA commissioner this coming season," said NCAA Management Committee chair Jose Mari Lacson in a press release.
The appointment was also confirmed by NCAA President and San Beda rector Fr. Aloysius Maranan, OSB.
Jao has experience as a college basketball commissioner, holding the job for the UAAP basketball tournaments in 2011 and 2014.
Jao has also served as commissioner for the now-inactive Philippine Basketball League (PBL).
