The four-time defending champions overcame a near collapse in the third quarter to defeat the Perpetual Help Altas, 81-75, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, October 15 to book a date with the winner of the Arellano University-Jose Rizal University Final Four game later today.

Anthony Semerad topscored for San Beda with 18 points while Baser Amer scored 17 as the Red Lions led by 26 points, 44-18 at the half. Perpetual, which was led by 20 points each from Juneric Baloria and Earl Thompson, opened the third with an 11-0 run and trailed by just 11 at the beginning of the fourth. 

The Altas came to within 5 with 19.4 left in the game but couldn’t finish their comeback.
