Alyssa Valdez led the scoring with 20 points while Jhoana Maraguinot added 10 markers.  

“We’re really happy for the win but we hope to lessen our errors. We’re happy with the distribution of points. Jia is doing good,” Valdez said.  

Settet Jia Morado registered 37 excellent sets for the Blue and White.  

The Lady Eagles started strong, opening the game with a 12-3 lead, with Valdez sealing the first set with a kill, 25-17. 

Ateneo continued to demolish FEU’s defense in the second frame, burying them in a 22-9 deficit.  

A total of 31 errors pulled FEU down.  

“This season is a mind battle. This season is all about character building,” added Valdez.

The defending champions will face UST next on March 19, Saturday. 

Ateneo stays on top of the Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament standings with an 8-2 win-loss card.  

Meanwhile, FEU remains at the fourth spot, holding a 5-5 record.
