FEU survives Adamson in 4 sets to enter UAAP Final Four
(UPDATED) Third seed FEU will next face either La Salle or Ateneo

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The FEU Lady Tamaraws clinched a spot in the Final Four of the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament with a hard-earned 4-set victory over the Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 28-26, on Wednesday, April 6, at the San Juan Arena.

The victory gave the Lady Tams a 9-5 record to end their elimination round campaign, which awards them the third seed in the Final Four.

They will face either La Salle (10-2) or Ateneo (11-2), which will have a twice-to-beat advantage. FEU has yet to win against both teams this season.

Meanwhile, the loss dropped Adamson’s record to 3-10, with a game against the winless UE Lady Warriors remaining on its schedule.

Bernadeth Pons led FEU with 19 points while Remy Palma and Toni Basas scored 10 each. Jerrili Malabanan also posted 11 in the win.

Jessica Galanza and Bernadette Flora registered 13 points each for the Lady Falcons.

FEU out-spiked its opponents 51-39 and scored 4 more points on service aces, 9-5.

45 points from Lady Tamaraws’ errors kept the Lady Falcons in the game. – Rappler.com
