UAAP 79 Final Four preview: Ateneo vs FEU

MANILA, Philippines – For the second straight year, the Ateneo Blue Eagles and FEU Tamaraws will face in the UAAP Final Four with a trip to the finals on the line.

Although their seeds are reversed and the composition of both teams are considerably different, Ateneo and FEU are still expected to provide an entertaining series as La Salle awaits its opponent in the championship round.

Despite losing players to academic issues and going through other hurdles early in the season, Ateneo has been impressive in Season 79 and enter the Final Four on a 6-game winning streak.

FEU, meanwhile, has made up for the loss of its core players by relying on unselfish play and solid defense.

The Blue Eagles have failed to make it to the finals since their last championship in 2012, and are looking to avoid getting eliminated in the Final Four for a second straight year. The Tamaraws, on the other hand, are aiming for a third straight finals appearance and to defend their crown.
