Both teams now hold a 2-2 record in the UAAP Season 80 men's basketball tournament.

MANILA, Philippines – The Adamson Soaring Falcons clinched their second win by besting the National University (NU) Bulldogs, 83-76, on Sunday, September 24 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Soaring Falcons were coming off a loss in their previous game against the defending champions. This match saw them escape a first quarter stalemate and hold on to a comfortable lead over the Bulldogs throughout the game.

Espeleta led the scoring for the Falcons at the half as he chipped in 10 markers, 1 rebound and 1 assist in his 10.50 minutes on the court.

J-jay Alejandro drew first blood in the third quarter by sparking the NU comeback with back-to-back plays. As the Bulldogs got within 5 points, the Soaring Falcons pulled away with 13-8 run to end the third up by 10 points.

Alejandro led the scoring for the Bulldogs in the fourth, but his efforts were not enough to overcome the balanced team offense of the Soaring Falcons.

Papi Sarr topscored for the Adamson Soaring Falcons with a double-double, as he contributed 19 points and 13 rebounds, 5 of which are offensive. Jerrick Ahanmisi and Espeleta chipped in 13 points apiece.
