Soaring Falcons earn first double-digit win against Red Warriors
The UE Red Warriors remain winless with a 0-5 record

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The Adamson Soaring Falcons earned their second straight win against the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors, 79-60, on Sunday, October 1, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Soaring Falcons pressed hard early in the game to limit the Red Warriors by 11-0, and eventually sealed their first double-digit win this season.

The Red Warriors were scoreless at the 7-minute mark until Alvin Pasaol ignited the offense with a triple. UE improved its form early in the second quarter as it made an 8-0 run via the heroics of Wilson Bartolome and Mark Olayon, cutting the deficit to 4 points.

However, back-to-back triples by Dawn Ochea and Robbie Manalang brought Adamson’s lead back up to double digits by the end of the first half.

Up by 10 entering the second half, the Soaring Falcons went on a 10-0 run in the third that was capped off by a Jerie Pingoy triple.

Pasaol attempted to lead the Red Warriors by making a triple at the 5:55 mark of the final quarter, but Adamson continued to limit UE.
