SCHEDULE: UAAP Season 80 men's basketball second round
MANILA, Philippines – The UAAP Season 80 men's basketball tournament is set to continue on Wednesday, October 11 at Araneta Coliseum.
The Blue Eagles ended the first round with an undefeated record of 7-0, as they defeated the defending champions, De La Salle Univeristy Green Archers, who now take the number two spot with a 5-2 record
The Adamson Soaring Falcons (5-2) and Far Eastern University Tamaraws (4-3) sealed a solo third and fourth place, respectively.
The National University Bulldogs and the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons are both tied at 3-4 in the standings.
For the bottom-ranked teams, The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers remain winless (0-7) in the league as they gave the Alvin Pasaol-led University of the East Red Warriors (1-6) their first win in the last game of the eliminations.
Pasaol also made a record breaking performance as he dropped 49 points during the Red Warriors' game against the Green Archers.
