Adamson releases statement on Duremdes’ sacking
Kenneth Duremdes led Adamson to a 1-13 record in his lone season as Falcons coach

MANILA, Philippines – Adamson University released a statement on Monday, June 1, regarding the firing of last season’s Head Coach Kenneth Duremdes.

It was reported by multiple media outlets that Duremdes, who went 1-13 coaching the Soaring Falcons in UAAP Season 77, had been let go by the university on Sunday, May 31.

“The management of the Adamson University Soaring Falcons men’s basketball team confirms that Mr. Kenneth Duremdes will no longer serve as Head Coach effective June 1, 2015,” it was said in Adamson’s statement.

“The team management has agree to release Mr. Duremdes from his duties as they would like to have someone who can dedicate his full time and attention to the development of the team.”

The statement also said that First assistant coach Mike Fermin will take over head coaching duties for the Soaring Falcons on an interim basis until a replacement is made.

Duremdes, a former PBA MVP, was one of the Falcons’ stars in the 90’s in the UAAP.
