UP Pep Squad nabs 3 medals at Cheerleading World Championships
MANILA, Philippines – The University of the Philippines Pep Squad snared 3 medals as they represented the country at the Cheerleading World Championships held in Berlin from November 21 to 22.
The UP Pep Squad took home a silver from the Cheer All Female category with a total score of 329.5, as well as two bronze medals from the Small Groups Mixed (228.5 points) and Cheer Dance Doubles (207.5 points) categories.
Japan won the Cheer All Female event by a landslide of 497.5 points.
UP also participated in the international competition last year in Bangkok and won a silver and bronze medal.
The UP Pep Squad have the most UAAP cheerdance titles at 8, tied with the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe. But they finished at 2nd runner-up at this year's competition. – Rappler.com
