Playing hoops in local leagues is no longer the only option for Filipinos.
Filipinos have brought their talent to foreign land, particularly in Japan, as the B. League has become one of the top destinations for the best young players in the country.
With Thirdy Ravena blazing the trail after signing with the San-En NeoPhoenix, other Filipino players followed suit.
So far, there are nine Filipinos playing in the B. League, including PBA standouts Kiefer Ravena and Ray Parks and Gilas Pilipinas aces Dwight Ramos, Kobe Paras, and Juan Gomez de Liaño.
As the B. League continues to gain more popularity, more Filipinos are expected to chart the new pro path in Japan. – Delfin Dioquino/Rappler.com
