The PVL opening day will commence at 3 pm with the game between Chery Tiggo and PLDT, followed by Creamline vs Sta. Lucia at 6 pm

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) decided to delay the game between the Banko Perlas Spikers and Cignal HD Spikers due to precautionary measures.

Originally scheduled to tip off on Saturday, July 17, 4 pm as the second game of the tripleheader, Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Manotoc requested that players from Perlas need to yield another negative RT-PCR result so that it can proceed to the competition.

“This is just a precautionary measure set by the Ilocos Norte LGU,” said commissioner Tonyboy Liao.

“We will be postponing the game between Perlas and Cignal to a later date,” he continued.

All 16 members of Perlas’s contingent had already yielded negative RT-PCR test results prior to heading for Laoag and on Thursday, July 15.

Saturday’s events are now rescheduled to begin at 3 pm with the game between Chery Tiggo and PLDT, while Creamline will open its title defense against Sta. Lucia at 6 pm. – Rappler.com
