After pocketing the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games silver medal, the Philippine men’s volleyball team had hoped to prove itself in the continental level.
Fielded as Rebisco in the 2021 Asian Club Volleyball Championships, the team wound up with only one win and finished ninth overall in its return to the international stage.
Still, several players stepped up to the challenge even as the squad tried to adjust from the absence of national team firepowers Marck Espejo and Bryan Bagunas.
