Philippine volleyball star setter Jia Morado and long-time beau Miguel de Guzman announced their engagement on Thursday, October 1.
Morado and De Guzman each posted a photo of their engagement, one shot focused on the couple and the other focused on the ring.
According to Morado’s post, she said yes at 11:11am, Thursday.
Morado and de Guzman were batchmates in Ateneo and graduated in 2017.
The star setter had forgone her final UAAP playing year with the team and ended her collegiate career with two championships along with Ateneo star Alyssa Valdez.
In 2015, Morado bested La Salle rival Kim Fajardo for the UAAP Season 77 Best Setter award.
Together with Valdez, Morado now plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League, leading them to 3 conference titles.
Across 3 PVL seasons, Morado has copped 5 Best Setter awards and 3 Finals MVP awards.
The Creamline setter is a mainstay in the national team, and recently saw action in the 2018 Asian Games and 2019 Southeast Asian Games. – Rappler.com
