MANILA, Philippines - The road to Southeast Asian Games glory has been mapped out for the male and female volleyball teams.
The Philippine women’s team will be grouped in Group B at the Southeast Asian Games alongside Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. Thailand, the 9-time defending SEA Games champions, are grouped with Myanmar and Singapore.
They’ll play 3 games in the group stage, beginning on Wednesday, June 10 against Indonesia at 12 pm, followed by Malaysia at 10 am on June 11. They’ll conclude their group stage matches on June 13 when they meet Vietnam at 10 am.
The top two teams in the both groups will advance to a semifinal knockout game on June 14, with the championship game to be played the following day at 5 pm.
The Philippine men’s team will compete in Group A with Malaysia, Myanmar and two-time defending champion Thailand, beginning with a matchup against Malaysia on June 10, followed by a game against Myanmar before wrapping up the group stage against Thailand on June 14.
The semifinals take place June 15 with the finale on June 16.
