PSL: RC Cola fights their way to Grand Prix semis with win over Generika

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) - RC Cola Army refused to go down without a fight in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix 2016 as they successfully earned a ticket to the semis by beating Generika, 25-20, 25-19, 25-19 on Sunday, November 27 at the PhilSports Multi-Purpose Arena.

In the first game of Sunday's double header, RC Cola dominated on the offensive side, outscoring Generika 48-31 on attacks.

Skipper Jovelyn Gonzaga paced Army with 13 points, while Hailie Ripley pitched in 12 markers.

The Lifesavers managed to keep it close in the first set with four deadlocks in the game, as Darlene Ramdin and Polina Liutikova sparked their squad's defense.

Liutikova finished with 10 points for Generika.

Following a commanding victory, Gonzaga and the rest of Army face a bigger challenge ahead as they take on defending champions Foton on Saturday, December 3.
