Yuka Saso ends her campaign with back-to-back six-under 65 rounds to finish tied with American Danielle Kang in the NW Arkansas Championship

Yuka Saso fired two eagles in the third and final round in the NW Arkansas Championship to land at joint fourth place on Sunday, September 26 (Monday, September 27, Manila time).

The Filipina-Japanese scored an impressive six-under 65 for the second straight round and totaled a 14-under 199 as she finished tied with USA’s Danielle Kang.

After sinking two bogeys in the first five holes of the back nine, Saso wrapped up her campaign strong with two birdies, a par, and an eagle in the final four holes.

The reigning US Open champion pocketed $104,506 (around P5.3 million).

Meanwhile, Japan’s Nasa Hataoka ruled the tournament with a 16-under 197 to rake in $345,000 (around P17.6 million).

Hataoka made five birdies in the final round as she wound up with a one-stroke edge over South Korea’s Eun-Hee Ji and New Zealand’s Minjee Lee, who shared second place.

Filipinas Dottie Ardina (four-under 209) and Bianca Pagdanganan (one-under 212) finished at 56th and 74th place, respectively. –
