MANILA, Philippines – Last New Year’s Day, Square Enix announced that it was taking beloved role-playing game classic Final Fantasy IX to computers and mobile devices.
While the promise of a digital release on computers via Steam has yet to be fulfilled, Square Enix did release Final Fantasy IX on the Android and iOS platforms on Tuesday, February 9 (February 10, Manila time).
Currently, the game costs P818.45 ($16.99) – a limited-time sale price which will end on February 21.
Aside from some visual and user interface enhancements, the game will also feature some boosters that can make it easier or more enjoyable to play if you’re looking to progress through the story.
Final Fantasy IX will require approximately 4GB of space on your smartphone and will need iOS 7.0 or later, or Android 4.1 or later, to run. A full list of recommended devices is available on the Final Fantasy IX webpage. – Rappler.com
