PH Dota 2 team Execration reaches finals of $100,000 ROG Masters

MANILA, Philippines – Execration, a top Filipino Dota 2 team, have reached the final round of ROG Masters, a $100,000 tournament held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

After defeating India’s Entity eSports and China’s EHOME.X, the team is set to face off against the multinational powerhouse Team Secret in a best-of-5 series. Another Filipino team, Mineski, also managed to reach the semi-final round, but were eliminated at 3rd – 4th place. 

ROG Masters is pegged as “first grand eSports tournament specifically crafted for Asia and its Dota 2 enthusiasts.”  Featuring teams from across the Asian and Oceanic regions, countries represented include Australia, Mongolia, China and the Philippines.

This event serves as Execration’s penultimate offline tournament before December’s The Boston Major, which will be held in its namesake city. They will be the sole Filipino team present at the major – which is to be their first stateside outing this season – and will be competing for a prize pool of $3,000,000. – Rappler.com
