Power Rangers game gets ‘Street Fighter’ crossover, but not in Asia
Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Cammy, Akuma, and M. Bison to take on Power Rangers in mobile game crossover

MANILA, Philippines – Some of Street Fighter’s iconic characters are crossing over to the Power Rangers universe in a new tie-up between nWay, Saban Brands, Lionsgate, and Capcom.

The latest version of mobile game Power Rangers: Legacy Wars will feature unlockable or purchaseable characters from the Street Fighter universe – namely Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Cammy, Akuma, and M. Bison.

While Ryu, Chun-Li, and Guile are now available, Akuma will be arriving May 19, while Cammy and M.Bison are heading over on June 1.

Gamers can purchase them outright for $4.99 or unlock them using Morph Boxes and character shards.

Capcom oversaw the inclusion of the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition versions of the above-named characters, with these characters retaining their signature moves and animations.

Sadly, there’s a caveat to all this crossover goodness. According to the update information on the Legacy Wars website, the Street Fighter characters will not be available in the following countries listed below:

  • Brunei
  • Cambodia
  • China
  • East Timor
  • Hong Kong
  • Indonesia
  • Japan
  • Laos
  • Macau
  • Malaysia
  • Mongolia
  • Myanmar
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

No word yet has been released on whether the characters will eventually be available in the other regions.  – Rappler.com
