MANILA, Philippines – Sony Electronics is augmenting its flagship portable speaker lineup with the introduction of the SRS-X2 and the SRS-X3 Bluetooth speakers. They will join the pricier models namely the SRS-X5, the feature-rich SRS-X7 and the top tier SRS-X9.
The SRS-X2 is an entry level speaker that boasts a 20W output power in a smaller, rounded-edge design which breaks the sleek lines of the other models in the line.
The SRS-X2 features One-touch listening, Bluetooth connectivity, and speakerphone capability. It can also be paired with Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled devices. With a built-in rechargeable battery estimated to give 5 hours of playback, the SRS-X2 will cost US$100.

Looking like a miniature X9, the SRS-X3 is encased in a rectangular “Definitive Outline” design. It consists of two full range speakers and two passive radiators, allowing the small unit to provide full-sounding bass without compromising high frequencies.
Combined with ClearAudio+ technology, the SRS-X3 provides a higher quality sound while the Sound Mode gives a wider sound stage. Other features include wireless audio streaming, mobile device connectivity, One-touch easy listening via NFC, and a built-in microphone for use as a speakerphone.
With an estimated battery life of 7 hours, the SRS-X3 is available for US$150.
Both models use micro USB or a USB AC adapter to charge. The units, which will be available in June, come in black, white, or red. – Rappler.com
