Google Maps give travelers option to travel via dragon
Ever wondered what Daenerys' babies have been up to all summer? Seems llike they've been helping travelers in Westeros – err – Wales.

MANILA, Philippines – Where have Drogon, Rhaegal, Viserion been all summer?

It seems Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons have been busy giving travelers a lift as Google Maps recently unveiled yet another Easter Egg. Travelers who search for routes between Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales to South Wales’ Brecon Beacons are given the option to travel by car, walking, cycling, and dragon.

Yes, dragons. Is this a treat for Game of Thrones fans? We’re not so sure but what we know is that they might get a kick out of this, especially after the latest episode which went from gory to disturbing.

The 122-mile journey, according to the map’s estimate, will take about 21 minutes. The time does not include your dragon’s feeding stops along the way as well as the possibly turbulent skies. We advise that you bring a thick jacket for the trip.

Unfortunately, this feature is only available to people traveling in Wales – an area that closely resembles the map of Westeros. Even their histories show similarities but that’s another story.

Dragons cannot fly intercontinental at the moment as their mother might need them in time for yet another of her slave-freeing escapades across the narrow sea.

This Easter Egg is nothing new for Google Maps. In 2011, fans of The Lord of the Rings got a kick out of seeing a Boromir-inspired meme everytime they try to search for directions from the Shire to Mordor. And just last year, fans of Doctor Who were allowed tours of the TARDIS.

We wonder what Google will come up with next. – Rappler.com
