MANILA, Philippines – Following its announcement that the Windows 10 operating system will be released on July 29, Microsoft revealed the prices for standalone copies of WIndows 10’s Home and Pro versions.

In a June 1 statement, Microsoft told tech site Neowin that Windows 10 Home would cost $119, while Windows 10’s Pro edition would cost $199.

A Windows 10 Pro Pack, which upgrades Windows 10 Home edition installations to a Windows 10 Pro package, will cost $99. 

While these prices reflect standalone copies of Windows 10, users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 can get a free upgrade to Windows 10 for the first year of the operating system’s release. – Rappler.com
