Welcome to our monthly recap of some of the biggest tech headlines from the previous month.

In September, Facebook found itself in the headlines with their takedown of two propaganda networks influencing the Philippines, one with origins in China, and the other with links to the Philippine police and military. The networks were found to be in violation of the platform’s rules on coordinated inauthentic behavior.

On the lighter side of things, American tech giants Apple, Amazon, and Facebook all released new hardware – minus one of the year’s most awaited gadgets, the iPhone 12.

Gaming giants Sony, Microsoft, and Nvidia also announced the prices of their respective gaming devices – the PS5, Xbox Series X, and RTX 3000 graphics cards – for the upcoming next-gen gaming hardware war this coming holiday.
