Known more as a PC builder than anything, Lenovo has gotten into the mobility business with the M2 Electric Scooter.

Prior to the brand’s entry, it was Xiaomi which turned heads for offering a scooter alongside more traditional tech products such as smartphones and computers.

The M2 Electric Scooter is now available in the Philippines for P19,995. It has a 350W motor, 7.5Ah battery, and top speeds of 25 kph. One charge nets the rider up to 30 kilometers. An intelligent battery system helps pevent overcharging and extreme temperatures. It has cruise control as well, which lets the scooter maintain speed while moving without extra input from the user.

On an LED screen, the M2 shows metrics such as speed, mileage, gear used, and battery capacity much like a traditional vehicle would display such parameters.

The M2 has a dust and waterproof rating of IP54, which Lenovo says would make the vehicle suitable for riding under light rain and dusty terrain. The scooter supports a load of up to 120 kilograms, and a max riding incline of 15 degrees. – Rappler.com
