Along with its first laptop, realme also introduced its new flagship phone to the Philippine market: the realme GT Master Edition.

The realme GT Master Edition has a Snapdragon 778G processor, 5G connectivity, a slim lightweight design, and a Samsung Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate.

Realme also says it has better than standard phone cooling with its “Vapor Chamber Cooling System,” and has fast-charging technology which the brand says juices up the phone from 0 to 50% in 13 minutes.

Other features include a 64MP primary camera and a 32MP front camera. It will be available in two storage variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.

Unlike the realme Book though, the GT Master Edition has its own distinctive design. We’ve had some hands-on time with the phone, and it looks great. We say so because its “suitcase” back is – as far as the phones we’ve seen recently are concerned – very unique, and looks both rugged and premium at the same time. The slim camera array also adds to the sleek feel of the phone.

The back of the phone doesn’t smudge, and feels great to the touch and gives you great grip.

The realme logo in silver at the back looks good too.

Of the phone’s design, realme said:

“Design is one of the defining characteristics of the realme GT Master
Edition as realme strived to push the boundaries of product design once more.

The Voyager Grey colorway [the model we tried] is designed by world-renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa who is best known for his work with brands such as MUJI, Herman Miller and many more.

It sports a suitcase design, taking inspiration from the concept of travel and exploration. The variant is also made of exquisite vegan leather, which is the first concave vegan leather in the industry, so as to replicate the horizontal grid of the suitcase.”

There is another “Daybreak Blue” colorway, which is “inspired by the colors of dawn, and uses Japan’s patented PICASUS technology that covers the phone in a nano-laminate coating giving it a shiny, metallic, and holographic feel.”

The Daybreak Blue is also said to be a little lighter and slimmer than the Voyager Grey version.
