Lenovo at CES 2021 announced 4 new models in their Legion laptop gaming line:

  • Lenovo Legion 7 (16” AMD)
  • Lenovo Legion Slim 7 (15” AMD)
  • Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (16” AMD)
  • Lenovo Legion 5 (15” and 17” AMD)

The laptops will be debuting in markets from February 2021, although there are no details yet on specific dates for a Philippine launch.

The new models will sport next-gen AMD Ryzen 5000 H-seres mobile processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 Series GPUs – sought-after components for PC gamers.

The Legion 7 and Legion 5 Pro also see the first 16-inch quad HD (2,560 x 1,600) 16:10 displays – a step-up from the usual 15.6-inch 1080p gaming laptops. These displays will also have a 165Hz refresh rate for smooth motion, and a 3ms response time.

The laptops will also make use of the Lenovo Legion AI Engine, which helps find the most optimal performance settings for games using machine learning, and balancing overclocking with heat management through AI for the best frame rates. The new laptops will also come with a 1-month free subscription to Xbox Game Pass.

Its new cooling system, the Coldfront 3.0 thermal management is said to boast improved heat dissipation capabilities. Other features include 360-degree audio, background noise suppression for clearer chats, a sound sharing feature for using two headphones at once for two people, the Legion TrueStrike keyboard with soft-landing keys, and Lenovo Vantage for easy laptop settings control.
