Sony has announced that the PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita systems will be shuttered on August 27, 2021. The remaining purchase functionality for the PSP will also be retired on July 2, 2021.

Owners of the said systems though will still be able to re-download and play previously purchased games and media content, redeem game and PS Plus vouchers, and play PS Plus games on an active membership.

PS4 and PS5 owners meanwhile will also be able to cross-buy content and access the PS3, PS Vita, and PSP version of a game.

As for what players can’t do, they will be unable to buy new games and make in-game purchases, and redeem PSN wallet fund vouchers. – Rappler.com
