MANILA, Philippines - Apple has announced the newest addition to their line of laptops - the MacBook Pro 13" with Retina Display.
The new MacBook Pro is very similar to the 15-inch variant announced earlier in 2012. At 3.57 pounds, it is the lightest MacBook Pro to ever come out. Ii is powered by Intel dual-core i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge and 8GB of Ram and Intel HD 4000 Graphics.
The 13-inch Retina Pro's 2560x1600 is technically fewer pixels than the 15-inch version, but it packs more pixels than any other laptop by a significant margin.
It runs on a 7-hour battery and has a storage of up to 768GB of Flash. Other specifications are as follows. FaceTime HD camera, stereo speakers and a backlit keyboard.
It also has magsafe, two Thunderbolt ports, USB 3, a headphone port and dual microphones. On the right, USB 3, HDMI, and an SD card reader.
Razor thin. The new iMac is just 5mm thin - 80% thinner than the previous iMac. It runs on 2.7Ghz quad-core, has the Intel core i5 processor. The 21-inch variant starts at $1299 while the 27-inch variant starts selling at $1799.
Another device unveiled in the event is the a faster Mac mini. It now has USB, powered by dual or quad-intel Core i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge, with Intel HD Graphics 4000, and up to 16GB of RAM. It starts at 2.5Ghz dual-core i5 with 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD for $599.
