Apple finalizes October event

MANILA, Philippines - Earlier online speculation about an October Apple event has been confirmed, with Apple sending out press invitations to an event on October 22.

According to the Huffington Post, Apple will likely showcase a new iPad or a new MacBook, as well as announce release information for its latest operating system, OS X Mavericks.

Apple's October 22 event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10 am PDT.

Apple's last event was held in the early morning hours of September 11 (September 10 in the US), leading to the announcement of new iPhones, namely the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. - Rappler.com
