Converge gets back online after lengthy downtime
(3rd UPDATE) Converge ICT says it had restored connectivity for residential and enterprise clients across its service areas as of Wednesday morning

Converge ICT Solutions on Tuesday, November 17, confirmed reports of downtime for its internet services, citing “issues in our data center” as the reason for the service interruption.

In a Facebook post, Converge explained the issues began at approximately 1:10 pm and were affecting users “nationwide.”

Converge also said service tickets would not be required, likely due to the severity of the issue, as the company has technicians working on the problem already.

In an update to the Facebook post, Converge said its engineers found the problem to be power related. The company added, “Our power service providers are on-site assisting with the ongoing restoration of power to reestablish connectivity of our subscribers at the soonest possible time.”

In an email to Rappler, Converge said the interruption affected all service areas in Metro Manila and major provinces in Luzon.

“As of 5:50 pm today, we have confirmed that service has been restored in Central and North Luzon,” the statement added.

Converge added in a tweet on Wednesday morning, November 18, that it had restored connection for residential and enterprise clients across its service areas.
