World of Tanks heading to the PS4
While no PlayStation Plus membership is needed to play upon release, those with PS Plus memberships will get some benefits

MANILA, Philippines – Fans of Wargaming’s tank-blasting offering World of Tanks will soon have a new battleground to test their mettle: The PlayStation 4.

Wargaming announced the addition of a PS4 version of World of Tanks during the launch of the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) on Thursday, September 17.

The PS4 iteration will come with DualShock 4 functionality, and will take advantage of light bar, controller speaker, and touch pad capabilities. Share Play and PS Vita Remote Play, along with revamped controls for PS Vita gamers, will also be supported.

A press statement from Wargaming added that the PS4 iteration will come with two new, limited-time maps. While no PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) membership is needed to join, those with PS Plus memberships do get benefits, such as a free premium tank with exclusive camouflage, 3 days of Premium Account time, and special discounts on purchases.

A slightly not safe for work (NSFW) TGS-timed commercial was also launched in Japan to celebrate the announcement.

Users can sign up for more information on the upcoming release by visiting Wargaming’s PS4 sign-up page to enlist emails. – Rappler.com
