MANILA, Philippines – Following Microsoft’s charge in releasing new hardware to complement the Windows 10 operating system, Acer on Monday, October 12, showed off two new computing devices powered by the new OS: The Acer Aspire R14 and the Acer Aspire Z3-700.

Whereas the Aspire R14 is a convertible notebook, the Aspire Z3-700 touts itself as a portable all-in-one PC.

The Aspire R14 notebook sports 14-inch screen and a hairline-brush metallic finish with a diamond-cut edge design. A 360-degree dual torque hinge lets users switch through four different usage modes – tablet, display, tent, and laptop.

The Aspire R14 weighs 1.9 kilograms, and is equipped with a 6th-generation Intel Core processor, up to 8GB of DDR3L system memory, as well as SSD storage capabilities.

Windows 10’s Continuum function will enable the laptop to easily maintain a task after switching to a new mode.
