LOOK: Filipino gamers line up for ‘Final Fantasy XV’
The latest in the long-running RPG series draws crowds at gaming stores in the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines – The much-awaited RPG Final Fantasy XV finally came out on Tuesday, November 29, after what seemed like an eternity of waiting for longtime series fans and newcomers alike.

Out now for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, the Square Enix title arrives 7 years since the last single-player Final Fantasy (FF XIII) came out. The long wait and the incredible visuals that pre-release trailers have been showing combine to whip up a wave of excitement for many gamers.

Filipino gamers weren’t immune to the appeal of the title. In fact, it’s caused long lines at some videogame stores.

In some parts of the world, gamers lining up to get a big videogame on launch day isn’t a rare sight. In the Philippines, it doesn’t happen that often. Then again, a Final Fantasy game doesn’t come around that often.
