‘Shin Megami Tensei V’ coming to Nintendo Switch
Nintendo's Switch console appears to be the new home for the fan-favorite demon recruiting role-playing game

MANILA, Philippines – Teased back in January as part of the Nintendo Switch’s lineup of games, it seems Atlus is bringing out plenty of demons to play on the Switch.

The company announced via livestream on Monday, October 23, that the Switch would officially be receiving the next title in the Shin Megami Tensei game series, called Shin Megami Tensei V.

The new trailer appears to place the game in present-day Tokyo and, as is standard with the series, looks to have demons invading a now post-apocalyptic Tokyo.

Unlike the Persona series of games, which in recent years has had more of a school management subgame within its systems, Shin Megami Tensei is seen as a more straightforward RPG in which players will likely have to recruit their own demons to fight the end of the world.

2017 marks the 25th anniverary of the Shin Megami Tensei series of games as well.
