Jollibee suspends Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon delivery websites
Another Jollibee-owned chain, Burger King Philippines, will continue to operate as it's 'on a different platform.' Mang Inasal, on the other hand, doesn't have its own delivery website

MANILA, Philippines – Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) suspended the delivery websites for 3 other restaurants it owns, along with the Jollibee delivery website, following a National Privacy Commission (NPC) order to cease site operations until cybersecurity issues are resolved.

The 3 restaurants whose delivery websites are currently down are Chowking, Greenwich and Red Ribbon. Mang Inasal doesn’t have its own delivery website, aside from listings on third-party delivery services. Burger King Philippines’ delivery website will continue to operate as JFC says it’s ‘on a different platform.’

These are the screens that appear when one tries to access the Greenwich and Red Ribbon delivery sites:

The NPC found Jollibee’s delivery website to be severely lacking in cybersecurity, saying it’s jeopardizing the data of around 18 million individuals who order on the site.

Following that, the NPC, on Tuesday, May 8, ordered JFC to suspend jollibeedelivery.com and “all other data processing open to the public through the internet.”

“In compliance with the NPC order, we have temporarily taken our Jollibee delivery website offline. As an additional precaution, we have voluntarily taken offline the delivery websites of our other brands, with the exception of Burger King which is on a different platform,” JFC said in a statement. – Rappler.com
