LOOK: Nintendo's new special edition gold Family Computer
The miniature console features 20 games based on manga to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump, the magazine that printed manga titles such as One Piece and Boruto. Some of the games to come preloaded include multiple Dragon Ball, Kinnikuman, and Fist of the North Star titles among a few others.
Nintendo has a Japanese promo for it on YouTube:
First released in 1983, the Famicom, short for Family Computer, is a video game console that was home to beloved gaming classics like Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros. Nintendo brought it back as a miniature console in 2016 with the Famicom Mini featuring the same 8-bit games that came packed with the original NES Classic.
Here are a few more photos of the retro console:
After the original stock ran out, the Famicom Mini is expected to resume sales on June 29; while the exclusive gold-colored version is set for a July 7 release and retails for ¥7,980 (P3815)*. Nintendo has yet to reveal if they have any plans of an international release. – Rappler.com
