Leak suggests that one of Google’s upcoming phones may have a notch too
With Google's upcoming Android P officially supporting screen notches, the design feature can't be ruled out even for Google's own phones

MANILA, Philippines – With the announcement of Android P supporting screen notches, it might not surprise anyone that Google may, itself, incorporate the popular display cutout in their own phones.

A recently leaked image that has since been taken down from Chinese social media site, Weibo suggests that one of Google’s upcoming Pixel 3 phones, namely the Pixel 3 XL will be sporting a notch. The alleged image showing the phones’ tempered glass screen protectors also hint that both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL have stereo front-facing speakers.

Similar to last year’s Pixel 2, the Pixel 3 and its much larger sibling, the Pixel 3 XL have different designs. GSMArena points out that both phones will have thinner bezels than their predecessors.

While it’s important to take the leaked image with a grain of salt, but given the popularity of the design feature – the iPhone X after all has been selling briskly – one cannot rule out the chance that we’ll find the notch even on Apple’s continental rival, Google. The rumor mill has been fairly busy regarding the 3rd generation of Pixel phones, with the community expecting the phone to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chip with Android P out of the box. – Rappler.com
