MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Kicking off E3 2018 is Electronic Arts with more information on its big games for 2018, including Battlefield V and Anthem.

Here’s a quick roundup of the major revelations, announcements, and trailers provided by Electronic Arts at its EA Play press conference on Saturday, June 9 (June 10, Manila time).

Battlefield V

Battlefield V began the EA Play show by promising no lootboxes and premium passes. Developer DICE also promised the game would get its own battle royale mode with the Battlefield twist – including destructible environments that can be wrecked by the game’s war vehicles.

FIFA 19

FIFA 19 came out with a reveal trailer, and it promises to provide soccer lovers with a refined game. It will be available on September 28.

Origin Access Premier

EA also announced Origin Access Premier as a new subscription service. It’ll bring all-new PC games – including Madden, FIFA 19, and Anthem for PC, as well as games from the EA’s vault of available titles on Origin.

Origin Access Premier will be available in the Summer.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

Also announced by Respawn Entertainment is a new Star Wars game, called Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. The game will be set betweent episodes 3 and 4 of the movies.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

For Star Wars Battlefront 2, the game will feature a new squad system, as well as a starfighter mode, soon.

The game will also get a large-scale sandbox multiplayer experience, with the game also entering the timeline of the Clone Wars with Geonosus. The game will also introduce General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi to the game.

Unravel Two

Unravel Two, the sequel to Unravel, was both revealed and announced as being available right now, in the middle of the EA Play press conference.

Sea of Solitude

Another game revealed at EA Play was another EA Originals title by Jo-Mei Games, called Sea of Solitude where a young woman who’s suffering from loneliness has to struggle with her inner monster – her loneliness – which is turning her into a literal monster in the real world.

Command and Conquer: Rivals

Command and Conquer was also resurrected as a mobile game, called Command and Conquer: Rivals.

The game will be available on Android and IOS, with the title available as a pre-alpha on Android now.

Anthem

BioWare went into a deep-dive for Anthem, explaining how the game will work.

According to the deep-dive, the game will feature a living shared world. The game will feature an overworld that players can interact in, but story elements are part of the player’s interactions in their base, in which the single-player aspect shines.

As such, the game world’s story can be unraveled and expanded upon without directly interfering with the world itself.

Anthem will feature 4 types of fighting exo-suits called javelins, with the look and paint jobs of the javelins being customizable in addition to having adaptable gear. While cosmetics and vanity items are for sale, there are no lootboxes or paying for power.

Anthem will be available on February 22, 2019. – Rappler.com
