Square Enix's E3 2018 showcase is short and sweet
MANILA, Philippines – At the Square Enix E3 Showcase 2018 on Monday, June 11 (June 12, Manila time), Square Enix had a number of trailers and information drops for viewers.
It was a bite-sized 30-minute look at Square Enix's plans moving forward, with plenty for fans to get hyped over.
Here's a roundup of the major things that happened during the showcase.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Shadow of the Tomb Raider opened the show with some gameplay footage in this latest Lara Croft adventure going through some stealthy kills.
According to the developers, the game will feature new traversal options for Lara in addition to some more ruthless gameplay.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will release on September 14.
Final Fantasy XIV
Square Enix and Capcom, meanwhile, will have a Final Fantasy XIV - Monster Hunter World crossover event slated for Summer 2018.
The Amazing Adventures of Captain Spirit
The Amazing Adventures of Captain Spirit will release for free on June 26. It's a free episode in the Life is Strange universe from Dontnod Entertainment for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
Dragon Quest XI will be releasing on PS4 and Steam in the west on September 4.
Scheduled for a 2019 release, Platinum Games is developing this title. Not much else is known at the moment, though you can watch a trailer for it below.
Octopath Traveler is still on track for a July 13 release on the Nintendo Switch.
Just Cause 4
Just Cause 4 is confirmed as coming to PC and PS4 on December 4 with a new gameplay trailer above.
A Quiet Man
Another new title announced during the stream was A Quiet Man. We're not sure if it's a brawler or an adventure-like game but the transition from live-action to gameplay was certainly exciting
Kingdom Hearts 3
There's nothing that hasn't been shown in earlier trailers, as Kingdom Hearts 3 is already confirmed for a a January 29 release on Xbox One and PS4. – Rappler.com
