MANILA, Philippines — Twitter begins rolling out its redesigned profile pages to all users starting Tuesday, April 22, (Wednesday, April 23, in Manila).
The new design, that looks very much like Facebook, was rolled out to a select group of users, including US First Lady Michelle Obama last April 8.
The new web profile puts an emphasis on visuals. Header and profile photos are now larger, the former taking up the entire width of your profile page. Tweets also display photos and videos without the user having to “click to expand.”
Users also have more control over the way tweets are displayed on their page. The following timeline views are available – Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies. Tweets with more engagement appear larger on a page and select tweets can be pinned to the top of your page.
To activate the new design, log on to your Twitter account, click “Take A Look” on the top of the page, and then “Turn It On.”
